Our tank cleaning machines and tank cleaning equipment are built at our factory in Houston.

No, we do not provide tank cleaning service.  We manufacture tank cleaning machines and tank cleaning equipment. See our products page for product information.

A tank cleaning machine (also referred to as a tank cleaning nozzle, 3D head or spinner) cleans the inside of a tank which reduces or eliminates the need for personnel to enter a hazardous environment. Tank cleaning machines can operate either portably or fixed in place.

Water, or other cleaning fluid, is pumped through the tank cleaning machine, where it drives an impeller. The impeller, in turn, drives a gearbox which drives the rotation of the body and separately, the rotation of the nozzles.  This allows a calculated cleaning pattern to be built. Yes, our tank cleaning machines are built with 316 L stainless steel as a minimum, and a wide range of chemicals and liquids can be run through them. 

We do build sanitary equipment for use in applications where the utmost sanitation is required.

Please contact Butterworth at info@staging.butterworth.com and let us know you want to send a tank cleaning machine(s) for evaluation. We will issue RMA number(s); please reference this number on all associated paperwork. Once our technician inspects your tank cleaning machine, you will receive a detailed repair quotation. Customer authorization is required before the unit(s) is repaired.

As the fluid of the impact indexed jet stream will reach out to the maximum length based upon input pressure, the LT/FT tank cleaning machines will work in both vertical and horizontal tanks as well as operate upside down. Learn more about the LT/FT product.

No, we do not have a complete catalog that we can mail.  We can mail or email data sheet(s) of a particular machine(s) for additional information. Or download data sheets and additional information from individual models pages located in the products section of our website.

Yes, all repairs are performed at our factory in Houston.

Every repair is different. There is an evaluation fee of $300. If you authorize repair of your Butterworth tank cleaning machine, the evaluation fee is applied towards your labor charge.
